Jon and Nicole’s story starts at West Chester University. They first noticed each other while working together as RA’s. Jon worked up the nerve to ask her out for pizza but Nicole turned him down… little did he know that she had just gotten back from dinner with her parents, and that’s the ONLY reason she said no. Jon waited several more weeks before asking again and he claims that two movies and a few tootsie rolls later he was falling in love.

Those first few weeks of RA training feel like just yesterday to them, yet it was almost 5 years ago now. Jon and Nicole set up a no present rule early in their relationship and instead tried to go somewhere and do something meaningful together on special occasions. So, Nicole thought nothing of it when Jon wanted to take her away for her birthday last year. They pulled up to a little bed and breakfast and the next morning headed off in a hot air balloon. They finished the day with a wine tour and at the last winery Jon let Nicole know that this weekend wasn’t just a birthday present but an “I love you present” and that the the only way left to say I love you was to ask her to spend forever with him. Can you say BEST birthday ever!

It was only fitting for us to meet up with these two at West Chester University for their engagement photos. I loved walking around campus talking about the wedding and hearing stories from college. I love the way these two interact with each other. It’s just the sweetest. Jon and Nicole are SO excited to get married and Mike and I are just as excited to be a part of it.
