Well, we are back from maternity leave and what a way to kick off our season! We have been looking forward to Tim and Melissa’s wedding for over a year now and it did NOT disappoint! One of my favorite things about a wedding day is getting to see the bride and groom surrounded by their family and friends that are most dear to them. I love watching the interactions, the hugs, the celebration. Tim and Melissa are so sweet and they have such a sweet love for one another and others and it was evident the entire day. We felt so welcomed and almost like we were part of the family. I’m so thankful for the time that we had with them and for the privilege it was to capture their beautiful wedding.

The day ran beautifully, and the rain that was expected, never came. If we could copy this day over and over again we would. Melissa emailed me a few days after the wedding to thank me for nudging them in the direction of a first look… she said it perfectly when she wrote, “Not only are we thrilled about having extra portraits, but we also got an extra three hours together on our wedding day. That was invaluable – having those extra minutes together in the car, and relaxing before the ceremony, is time we will always remember. We also reflected about how present we both felt during the ceremony, because the jitters were (almost) gone.” Mike and I know this to be true because we did a first look ourselves and have seen so many couples feel this way after their own first looks. I may have gone a bit overboard with photos but once you see them, you won’t blame me! Tim and Melissa, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of this season of your life. We truly treasured every moment!
