Hey Everyone! I’m pretty sure this is a post a lot of you have been waiting for and I’m pretty sure it won’t disappoint. It was so hard to narrow down images from this wedding. Usually I have maybe 20 – 30 images from a wedding that I post… I was finding myself with 70 images from Sam and Jason’s wedding weekend and every time I tried to narrow it down farther I just couldn’t so I said heck with it I’m posting all 70!! Sorry in advance if this post is too long for some of you.
Where to start… I have known Sam since middle school and when she contacted me last year about shooting her wedding I was thrilled. Several years ago Sam moved from our small hometown of Manheim, PA to Virginia, which is where she met Jason, and well… the rest is history. Mike and I were super excited when Sam let us know that they would be having their wedding at a country club in Richmond, VA. because we love shooting in new places.
Friday morning, the day before they wedding, Mike and I were on the road by 4am. We wanted to miss work traffic around D.C. and we also wanted to be at the hotel to scout out some locations for shooting the next day. We arrived at the hotel in VA. at 8:45 am and right away met up with Sam’s mom who started introducing us to family and friends. Mike took a nap throughout the afternoon and I hung out at the pool with a lot of Sam’s family. I could tell then that it was going to be a great weekend. Oh, and did I mention that the Richmond area was having a record breaking heat wave that weekend…?!?! Friday night was spent getting to know the family even better at the beautiful rehearsal dinner that Jason’s parents planned. It was so great to get to know close family and friends before the wedding because it made the wedding day that much more fun.
Saturday (the wedding day) was a whirlwind, but so much fun at the same time. Everything fell together perfectly and it was only about 100 degrees instead of 106 like the day before :) After the day came to an end Sam had planned extra time for us to get more photos of her and Jason. We started shooting as the sun was setting and a storm was rolling in. We took about 20 mins to shoot what are some of my favorite images from the day. Sam and Jason you had a beautiful wedding and Mike and I are so glad we were able to be a part of it!
