These two were troopers… we decided to do their engagement session in the morning because we figured there would a lot less people in the park in the morning. We were right about there being a lot less people but what we weren’t expecting was for it to be 35 degrees outside! These images look so warm and springy to me but it so did not feel like spring that morning! Nate and Rachel were awesome though.
This past weekend was a busy one for Mike and I. We had two engagement sessions with one of them being in D.C. Saturday afternoon Mike and I headed to D.C. to meet up with Tim and Becky. We had met Becky earlier this year so we were excited to finally meet Tim as well. We arrived at their place and headed into the city. The weather was great despite it being a little windy. We walked around to a bunch of different places all while trying to keep crowds of people out of our shots. We liked the challenge though :) I was really hoping to have some of the cherry blossoms still on the trees but we weren’t so lucky with that.
Recently a good friend of mine, Nicola, visited Africa. The stories and photos she came home with are both amazing and sad. I personally have never been to a third world country but my heart aches for these people. Ever since I was little I’ve always wanted to impact the world…do something BIG… you always have big dreams when you are little and my dream was to save the world. As you get older life gets in the way and you find yourself just living. Well, Nicola isn’t trying to save the world… but she is looking to make a difference and so am I. Here are some of Nicola’s words about her time in Africa…
Three years ago today I was anxiously waiting to walk down the aisle and say “I do”. I can’t believe it’s been three years already. Time really does go faster the older you get. I feel like I can remember that time in our lives like it was yesterday. All the planning and only seeing each other on the weekends. I will always have fond memories of that time in our lives but I’m thrilled with where we are now. I’m so excited to see what the future holds for us. I know God has BIG things planned for us… I can just tell :)
