For the past 4 years or so we’ve not only had Thanksgiving with our families but we’ve also put together a Thanksgiving meal with our friends. This past Saturday we had some our closest friends over for a holiday meal. I love setting up for this each year. Mike and I had Christmas music playing on the record player all day while I was setting up the table and he was preparing the turkey. Everything turned out great and it was such a sweet time with friends, most of whom met for the first time that night. Mike and I really do love to entertain but it’s usually hard to find time throughout the year, so we always look forward to this. A couple weeks ago Mike and I took Baxter for a walk and we collected some leaves, which I pressed and then spray painted gold to use as name cards :)

We concocted quite the little spinach salad with walnuts that Mike roasted and pears that Mike grilled… throw a little feta and homemade poppy seed dressing on top and amazing things happen! Mike also made chocolate mousse for dessert. It was SO good and I’ve been craving more ever since!
