We walked into Brenna’s parents house, not quite sure what to expect, since the weather forecast was calling for rain all. day. long. Brenna greeted us with a huge smile and a hug as if she didn’t even notice the raindrops splattering against the windows. At that moment, it didn’t matter to Brenna if it was raining or not… she was about to marry the man of her dreams and this was HER wedding day! I told Brenna the key to a wedding day with rain is to be flexible. She looked at me and said, “Whatever you need Britt, you just tell us and we’ll do it!” Brenna cared more about capturing amazing memories of her wedding day with photos than she did about getting her dress a little wet, and this is why we love our couples so much! Obviously we took great care of her dress though!
One of the funniest parts of the day for me was Brenna’s parents reaction to where I chose to do getting ready photos. Because of the rain most of the rooms inside the house were dark to say the least. As we were walking up one of the staircases Mike spotted a closed in balcony, that was being used for storage. The walls were white and it was lined with windows! A photographers dream! Brenna later told me that her mom had been putting the stuff from the house she didn’t want out and about for the day out on the balcony! Oops! From the photos though you would never be able to tell!!
Patrick + Brenna were amazing and such troopers through all the rain. Honestly, I think I was more upset for them than they were! Despite the fact that most of our locations for photos had to change, the day was amazing! Thankfully we were able to sneak Brenna + Patrick away during cocktail hour when there was a small break in the rain. Those are some of my favorite photos from the day. Patrick + Brenna, we love you two and are so blessed that you chose us to be with you on your wedding day. We are so thankful for you! It was such a beautiful day! Enjoy our favorites from the day!
Look at the beautiful light in this room!
Brenna, you my dear are breathtaking!
I am LOVING the first look with the bridesmaids!!
You may not be able to tell but it was pouring during these photos. Mike and I had on ponchos and rain gear for our cameras… it was a site to see.
Married!! Patrick was a little excited!
