Mike and I were able to sneak away for a long weekend with our small group the other week and boy did we need it. Wedding season is exciting and fun but the constantly being on the go can get you to after a bit. It was so nice to get away for 4 days with nothing on the agenda. We love our small group and the time we are able to spend with them. My Aunt and Uncle own a cabin in Caledonia State Park, which is 20 minutes or so outside of Gettysburg. We were only about 2 hours away from home, which is nice because you are far enough away to feel like you’re on vacation but close enough to home that you don’t have to drive all day to get there. Mike and I packed probably way too much stuff that we almost couldn’t get everything in the car. Oops!
We spent the weekend just hanging out playing games, hiking, visiting wineries and touring around the small towns in the area. It was exactly what we needed right in the middle of wedding season. I didn’t get my camera out as much as I wanted to but I did snap a few images, with my phone mostly. Enjoy a few photos from our trip and happy Monday!
