Wow it’s been a quick minute since I’ve posted on here! Blogging seems to be the first thing that falls behind once wedding season hits full force. I guess in my mind it’s more important for me to still deliver wedding and engagement images to our couples and the photographers I edit for in my 5-7 day turnaround time than to keep up with blogging. I know they are both important in the long run but I’m only one person and I’m trying to be a present wife and mother on top of the business owner thing, soooo some things have to take a back seat. I have been holding onto several weddings and sessions from last year that I can’t wait to share!

First up is Amanda and Tom’s wedding at one of our favorite venues in Lancaster, The Farm at Eagles Ridge. Amanda and Tom are just the dearest and their wedding day was the same. There was threat of rain for the later half of the day (which was no surprise for 2018 because it rained just about everyday!) and a decision needed to be made about the ceremony… keep it outside like planned or move to plan B. This is always a tough call because you never quite know how those summer thunderstorms will act. The decision was made to keep it outside and hope for the best. As the ceremony took place the dark clouds moved in and thunder was rolling in the distance. Jesus was all around because the storm held off until the minute everyone was safe and sound at cocktail hour and then the heavens opened. The wind was so rough that several trees had branches broken off and thrown about the property. It was a pretty impressive storm! I can’t even imagine what we would have done if the storm had hit during the ceremony!

I’ve really enjoyed reliving this sweet, joy filled wedding day and It’s making me so excited for warmer days and our upcoming wedding season! Amanda and Tom, we loved being part of your wedding day! It will always be a favorite of ours!
