Lauren noticed that Derek wasn’t like most 21 year old guys. Derek was a lifelong friend of Megan, one of Lauren’s college roommates and best friends. Megan introduced these two almost 4 years ago and I’d say she was quite the match maker. She knows it sounds crazy, but Lauren knew from the first night she met Derek that he was the one. Derek fell in love with Lauren’s kind heart and Lauren fell in love with Derek’s humor and goofiness.

Fast forward to the summer of 2013 on a beach in OBX. Lauren’s family vacations there almost every year. That particular summer Lauren’s family decided not to go but Derek suggested that him and Lauren still make the trip. After a walk on the beach to look at the stars, they sat down to take it all in. Here, Derek proposed to the love of his life.

These two are getting married this coming May near State College and Mike and I couldn’t be more excited for them. We loved our time walking around their little town of Lewisburg during their sunrise engagement shoot. We talked about life, the wedding and everything in between. I can’t wait to share my favorites with you!
