Mike and I had a fun weekend with two of our 2017 couples. It turned out that both of them wanted their engagements in Lewes, Delaware so we made a mini weekend vacation out of it and had a great time. We loved meeting and spending time with Colin and Catherine. We had only ever skyped with these two so it was so fun to finally meet them in person. I feel like we know them SO much better after their engagement session, which is why we don’t ever let our couples not get an engagement session. It makes their wedding images THAT much better because they are SO much more comfortable with us and us with them.

Colin and Catherine are the cutest and I loved photographing them. The weekend we planned for this shoot ended up being the hottest weekend of the year if not of the past couple years. The heat index was somewhere around 108 with 92% humidity but these two didn’t complain one bit. We had them tromping all over Cape Henlopen State park in the extreme heat and they were still smiling! Our type of couple for sure! They even trusted me that the photos were worth getting bit by attack flies on the beach!  Catherine’s smile could brighten anyone’s day and these two were such naturals in front of the camera. We can’t wait for their June 2017 wedding and I think we’re all praying it isn’t as hot as their engagement session! Enjoy some of our favorites from our sunset session with this sweet couple!
