ecause we are wedding photographers there isn’t usually a lot of time for vacations over the summer. We’ve had a pretty busy year so far and it won’t be slowing down for another couple of months. Mike and I definitely needed a little time to get away and relax. My Aunt and Uncle own a cabin in Caledonia State Park, which is only about an hour and a half away from us. Far enough away to feel like your on vacation but close enough that you aren’t driving for half a day :) We lucky found a weekend with no weddings or engagements, so last Thursday after Mike got home from work we packed the car and were off. We didn’t have much planned for our long weekend at the cabin but we were excited.

I’m sure you will recognize Nate and Chelsea from their engagement session only a few weeks ago. Mike and I have had a ton of fun getting to know these two over the last several months. The wedding day was absolutely gorgeous and Riverdale Manor looked beautiful as always. Mike and I may be slightly bias about Riverdale though since that’s where we had our wedding a little over 3 years ago :) I love working there as it brings back memories from our own wedding day.

I can’t believe it’s that time of year… we are starting to shoot engagements for our 2014 couples! Where has this year gone?!? Mike and I were excited to meet Jessica and Mark last Saturday. They have only been engaged for several weeks and they already have their venue and photographer booked and their engagement session DONE! We love couples that are excited and on top of things! These two… what can I say… they are adorable! I loved how easily Mark could get Jessica to laugh. You can def tell that they are perfect for one another.

I have known Mindy since middle school so when she emailed me about being the photographer for her and Will’s wedding I could not have been more excited. I met Will for the first time during their engagement shoot and I knew right away that he was perfect for her. These two are just so cute together.
