Hey Friends! Happy Monday!! I have a little something fun on the blog this morning. Remember that project I posted about just a couple weeks ago? The one where Mike and I were helping friends of ours with their adoption… well I’m excited to share with you the video from our workday! It was such a great day. Everyone coming together to help out the families involved brought tears to my eyes.
Oh where do I begin with these two?! Sara and I have been friends for years… We met at college, where we had every single class together for two years, but we didn’t get close until our first full time job outside of college at a commercial photography studio. Sara quickly became one of my very best friends. We have gone through a lot of stuff together over the past few years… getting married, buying our first homes, going full time with our photography businesses…and the list goes on.
I’ve mentioned before that our house is old… like coming up on 100 years old next year :) When we moved in, it was definitely move in ready but it was SO not the style we wanted. Over the last four years we have been making small changes to the house to really make it feel like home.
Have you ever heard of or have been a part of a Both Hands project? Well here’s your chance! Both Hands was set up to help families who are going through an adoption process. This amazing fundraiser helps not only the family trying to adopt but also a widow in their area. Essentially this is how it works… The family that is adopting is put in contact with a widow in their area that is in need of help around their house. They go and meet with the widow and put a list together of everything that needs done.
