Yesterday we celebrated Mike’s birthday and today we celebrate the wonderful man I call my Dad.

I was a daddy’s girl growing up and I guess you could still say I’m that way. I was the boy my dad never had… we would go rock climbing and hiking, play ping pong and wrestle until one of us got hurt. He taught me how to play softball and pool and how to drive stick (bless his heart). I have a lot of fond memories with my dad that I will cherish forever.

My dad is a hard worker. Always has been and I’m pretty sure always will be. If he’s working on something he gives it 110%, nothing less. I admire this about him. He has always believed in me and my dreams and I am so thankful for that. As I’ve gotten older I see characteristics in myself that without a doubt come from my dad. Like how I will stand up for what I believe in even if I’m the minority. Thanks for that one Dad :)

Dad, I know as the years have gone by our relationship has changed from what it was when I was a kid but thanks for always loving and supporting me… you have no idea how much it has meant over the years. So today, on your 57th birthday, I want to tell you how much I love you and how much you mean to me. Happy Birthday Daddy!
